Cascades

The Cascades were an American vocal group from the 1960’s and ’70’s. Strongly influenced by The Beach Boys style, they concentrated on putting together harmonies and released the song “There’s A Reason” in 1962 but they are more famous for their track “Rhythm Of The Rain” which reached Number 3 in the Billboard Charts and sold over a million copies world wide.

Subsequently the band continued to try to break into the mainstream, but were never as successful with their follow up songs.

The Cascades broke up in the early 1970’s but reformed for various events and concerts periodically over the next decades.
