Frankie Avalon: Venus… Why Do Fools Fall In Love…

Frankie Avalon (born Francis Thomas Avallone, September 18, 1940) is an Italian-American actor, singer, and former teen idol. He made his American network television debut In December 1952 playing the trumpet in the Honeymooners “Christmas Party” sketch on The Jackie Gleason Show.  In 1959 he released “Venus” and “Why” and they both went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
