Lady Day At Emerson’s Bar and Grill is a play about Billie Holiday by Lanie Robertson. The play is set in Philadelphia in March 1959. Billie Holiday is performing in a bar and sings accompanied by Jimmy Powers on the piano. She recounts some of the events in her life which had been somewhat eventful.
