Rita Ora

Rita Ora is an Albanian-British singer-songwriter from London, UK. Born in Pristina, Kosovo in 1990, Ora’s family moved to London where she was raised.

In 2009, she signed a recording contract with Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation and relocated to America. Her debut album contained the UK number-one singles, “R.I.P.” and “How We Do (Party)”.. She was nominated for three Brit Awards at the 2013 ceremony.

2018 saw the release of a new album from which the singles “Your Song”, “Anywhere” and “Let You Love Me”, reached the top ten in the UK which made her the first British female solo artist to have thirteen top ten songs in the United Kingdom.

Rita Sahatçiu Ora, (born Rita Sahatçiu; 26 November 1990) is better known as Rita Ora, and is an Albanian-British singer-songwriter from London, UK. Born in Pristina, Kosovo in 1990, Ora’s family moved to London where she was raised.

Her first UK exposure came after several collaborations with British singer Craig David. In 2009, she also auditioned for BBC talent competition ‘Your Country Needs You’ – to select the United Kingdom’s entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest – but withdrew her application.

In 2009, she signed a recording contract with Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation and relocated to America. Her debut album “ORA” was released on 26th August, 2012 and reached number one in the United Kingdom. The album contained the UK number-one singles, “R.I.P.” and “How We Do (Party)”. After reaching the peak position as a featured act on DJ Fresh’s “Hot Right Now”, Ora became the artist with the most number-one singles on the UK Singles Chart in 2012, with three consecutive singles reaching the top position. She was nominated for three Brit Awards at the 2013 ceremony.

Her single, “I Will Never Let You Down”, became her fourth UK number one when it debuted at the top of the charts in 2014. Also in 2014, Ora featured on Iggy Azalea’s single, “Black Widow”, which reached number three in the US. In 2015, Ora became a coach on the fourth series of The Voice UK, and later that year, a judge on the twelfth series of The X Factor.
